Fire Protection Information

For current information on a Burn Ban status visit the Parker County Fire Marshall site or call 817-598-0969.

Fire protection is provided by Emergency Services District #1 (ESD#1) and local volunteer fire departments. We are in the Aledo and Silver Creek Volunteer Fire Department District and they typically respond first. However, emergencies are responded to by many fire departments with whom ESD#1 has aid agreements. ESD#1 can be reached at 817-523-7598.

WHEN ALLOWED: Only natural vegetation can be burned; no trash, tires, wire, building materials etc.

You are no longer required to report your controlled burn. You are responsible for checking the website to see what the burn status is.

The link above and on the website menu will take you directly to the current burn status.

No burning is allowed when the burn ban is in effect until the Commissioners lift the ban.

No burning is allowed after dark and you must have a water source to control the fire once it is lit.

Fires that are unattended will be put out by the fire department.

You can be held financially responsible for fires that get out of control and spread to others property.

Burning with high winds in dry/hot conditions is a recipe for disaster that can easily overcome a water hose.
